Atlantic Coast Athletic Club, 2201 Old Brick Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: facility cannot provide a certified food protection manager certificate; person in charge cannot describe reportable diseases or symptoms like vomiting/diarrhea that would exclude or restrict an employee from work; no paper towels at the hand sink; temperatures of sliced turkey, sliced cheese, spinach and milk in the sandwich unit are elevated; sandwich make table is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature and there is ice buildup inside.

Lebanese Bakery LLC, 6215 West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw shell eggs incorrectly stored next to minced garlic in low boy unit; raw ground beef incorrectly stored next to kibbeh in reach-in unit; observed debris greater than one day old inside of grinder on prep table.

Wendy’s, 2120 John Rolfe Parkway – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: mop sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; floors are greasy.

Joey’s Hot Dogs, 4028-H Cox Road – No violations reported during a follow-up inspection.

Cook Out Restaurant, 4300 South Laburnum Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: an employee used tongs that touch food to turn off the timer; temperature of chicken cooked the previous night in side refrigeration unit is elevated; nacho cheese in the steam well is not being kept hot enough; temperatures of hot dogs, raw chicken and raw burger are elevated; two sanitizer spray bottles in the kitchen are unlabeled; racks in walk-in cooler are rusty and/or dirty; low boy unit next to grill on the cook line is not maintaining foods at the proper temperature; sink doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; floors near the dish area are greasy and dirty.

Q Barbeque, 1070 Virginia Center Parkway – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: temperatures of ribs and cheese sauce are too low; temperature of trays of pork BBQ is elevated because they were not cooled properly; single-service items incorrectly stored on the floor in front kitchen and storage room; gaskets are torn or pulling away in equipment on cook line; facility does not have a way to test the high temp dish machine.

Cava Grill, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: establishment does not have written procedures for cleaning up vomiting/diarrheal events; observed drinks without lids; temperatures of sweet potatoes, lentils and falafel are too low; temperatures of black lentils on line, greens in display, and spinach, splendid greens and rice are all elevated; beef meatballs and falafel do not have date marks; soap in pump is unlabeled; spices, oil in sprayer and sugar are unlabeled; no disinfectant residual detected in wiping cloth bucket; scoops for individual pans on line are soiled; observed woven basket being used on counter (does not have a cleanable surface); dish machine doesn’t have an alarm for sanitizer; can opener holder and drip trays are dirty; spray sink has a leak; floor by the fryer and top of coving on cook line are greasy.

Taqueria Isabel 3, 6404 Horsepen Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: raw chicken incorrectly stored above pork and beef in the reach-in; temperature of carne asada made the previous day is elevated because it was not cooled properly; no date marks found on rice or ribs; clean dishes found under towel dispenser; restroom trash can doesn’t have a cover; dumpster is open (should be kept closed).

America’s Best Wings, 4931 Nine Mile Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: observed an employee handle raw wings and then ready-to-eat wings without washing hands between tasks; breading that raw fish and chicken are dipped into is incorrectly stored at room temperature; chest freezer and low boy units have torn gaskets; hand sink is broken; light in walk-in freezer is not functioning properly; observed dried food debris and dust buildup on containers holding lighter and thermometers, fan grates in walk-in units, storage shelves/metal racks, and thermometers; ceiling tile above storage shelf is damaged; observed heavy grease buildup in hood system; observed an employee’s phone sitting out in the food prep area.

Tarrants West, 11129 Three Chopt Road – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: did not observe handwash signage at hand sink in back pizza area, in women’s restroom or at the bar; person in charge could not provide the proper parasite destruction letter from salmon provider; improper chlorine level at bar dish machine; slicer has food debris; microwave at pizza area is soiled; soda spray nozzles at the bar are dirty; roux was incorrectly stored at room temperature for several days; no date marks on hummus, homemade sauce or manicotti; turkey, seafood mix, mac pasta and thousand island dressing made with boiled eggs are past their expiration dates; sanitizer at three-compartment sink is not labeled with a legible manufacturer’s label; temperatures of cooked onions and peppers and seafood mix are elevated because they are not cooling properly; bulk bin of sugar in back of kitchen is unlabeled; seafood mix on the menu lists “crab” on ingredients but imitation crab is being used; cook is wearing multiple dangling bracelets; two tongs incorrectly stored between grill top and drawers on a dirty shelf; knives incorrectly stored in between crevices in salad station; handle is touching ice; a stack of plastic bins was stacked wet; several gaskets are torn/melted; light is missing under hood; there is a gap in the hood filters; racks in dry storage are rusty; cardboard is in between pans in dry storage and foil is covering a shelf on the cook line; cutting boards are heavily scratched/stained; peeler on cook line is broken; lid of big lettuce bin in walk-in cooler is melted; observed several moldy gaskets on low boy unit on cook line; storage racks are dusty; sides of fryer are greasy; observed a leak at floor cleaner dispenser and sink in dish area; faucet in dish area doesn’t have the proper backflow prevention device installed; refuse pickup is not frequent (dumpsters are very full); ceiling vents throughout are dusty and walls in front of kitchen are dusty; floor near ice and dish machines is wet; floor under fryers is greasy; hood vents are greasy/dusty.

Capriccio Pizza, 9127-A West Broad Street – The following violations were reported during a follow-up inspection: facility does not have a certified food protection manager; a sponge and a salad bowl with bits of salad were found in separate hand sinks (hand sinks are for handwashing only); there isn’t a working hand sink in the cook and pizza area; temperatures of sliced sausage, tomatoes and sausage prepped earlier today are elevated because they aren’t being cooled properly (found in deep containers, overstacked/overfilled and covered with saran wrap); frozen turkey breast incorrectly thawing at room temperature on prep table; fryer is greasy; hood filters above fryers are greasy; sink for cleaning lettuce does not have an indirect drain installed; observed dirt and food splatter on walls and on the floor in sauce area and walk-in cooler.

Arianna’s Italian Grill, 5107-09 Lakeside Avenue – The following violations were reported during a routine inspection: paper towel dispenser in dish area is not functioning and dispenser in women’s restroom is empty; hand sink in dish area is blocked by dishes; temperature of wings prepared the previous day is elevated; multiple foods in middle prep top unit and low boy have elevated temperatures (deli ham, sliced tomato, marinara); temperature of pasta cooling in a covered container is elevated; temperature of chicken on the counter is elevated; multiple containers of white powder are unlabeled; gaskets on middle prep top/lowboy unit across from grill are in disrepair; observed grease buildup/food debris on wall AC unit and shelving throughout kitchen; light bulb above cook line is out; floor tiles in back of kitchen are missing.
